Introduction to Assessments
The Club can assess the following BCU awards:
- One Star (canoe or kayak at the candidates choice)
- Two Star (assessed in both canoe and kayak at the same assessment)
- Three Star (White Water)
- Three Star (Sea)
- Level 1 Aquatic First Aid (continuous assessment during training)
- Level 2 Aquatic First Aid (continuous assessment during training)
One Star Assessment
Venue: Colt Hill Clubhouse
Date: TBC
Assessment for 1 Star can now be taken in either kayak and canoe. Participants will need to provide and transport their own canoes or kayaks, contact Hilary if you need to borrow one.
Two Star Assessment
Venue: Colt Hill Clubhouse
Date: 17th September 2016
Assessment for 2 Star now incorporates both kayak and canoe. We will be providing canoes for the assessment; participants will need to provide their own kayaks, which may be borrowed at the Clubhouse.
White Water Three Star
Saturday 2nd February
The white water three star assessment is run in response to demand. The next assessment is booked for Saturday 2 February on the River Dart.
