The Basingstoke and Deane Canoe Club was formed in 1987 as an initiative by the Borough Council to provide canoe and kayak based recreational activities and amenities for the residents of Basingstoke.

In April 2008 Basingstoke and Deane Canoe Club achieved Sport England ClubMark accreditation.
BADCC is affiliated to British Canoeing
BADCC is affliated to British Canoeing, the national governing body for the sport of canoeing and kayaking.
Canoe England Top Club
In April 2008 Basingstoke and Deane Canoe Club achieved Canoe England Top Community Club Status.
