Saturday 22nd February
Today is the day that we resolved to finish moving all the heaps so the site is clean and tidy, ready to hand over to a contractor to build the clubhouse.
The focus for today was to rid the site of all those nagging heaps and holes, starting with the residual hardcore!
- The small pile of topsoil recovered from the hardcore was added to that already in storage in jumbo bags.
- We backfilled around the various chambers at the main gates.
- The remaining crushed limestone was either used or transferred to storage in a jumbo bag.
- All the tricks and branches blown down by the winter gales were collected and burnt.
