Timber Fence Replacement 2016

The hedges round the site and the timber fences around the wildflower meadow are the focus for work parties over the window. Today we replaced another 12 metres of the timber fence around the far east end of the meadow.
Towards finishing the fence

Over the summer the Club's focus at Colt Hill has been on paddling. As the days grow shorter and colder our thoughts have returned to the fabric of the Clubhouse, in particular finishing off around the building.
Phase 1 Opening

Saturday 28th March 2015 saw the official opening of the Basingstoke and Deane Canoe Club’s Colt Hill Clubhouse phase one at Colt Hill by Mr Ranil Jayawardena, Conservative parliamentary candidate (subsequently elected as MP) for North East Hampshire.
Final Preparations

With the official open just one week away it was time to get the front of the clubhouse looking it best. Time to spread topsoil and down the side of the building pea shingle.
Opening Preparations

Thursday 12th to Saturday 14th March
This is the first time we have had a multi-day work party. On Thursday and Friday we benefited from the use of a digger and dumper: on Saturday it was just manual graft.
Hedging 2015

With the builders finished and the Clubhouse opening it was time to have a major tidy of the site.
